Outreach Ministries
In the Mississippi Delta, there is never a shortage of good work to be done. Our outreach ministries help to focus our giving to maximize our impact.
Outreach Committee
Meeting monthly, the outreach committee determines to whom our parish financial gifts will be given and focuses our community in particular hands-on outreach projects.
Delta Missions
Delta Missions is an interdenominational non-profit Christian organization that promotes the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through discipleship, mentoring and recreational programs to over 1000 children and adults. They have weekly bible classes at Delta Missions and Vacation Bible School in five Delta towns. St. Stephen’s volunteers to do crafts for VBS in Indianola, some our members volunteer for some Saturday sessions, and a few serve on their financial board.
Indywood Bingo
Each month, a group of parishioners go to the Indywood Care Home to provide residents with this opportunity for fellowship and fun.
Fundraising for Outreach
In order to enhance our outreach funding, St. Stephens’ periodically hosts fundraisers to support special projects.
